Founded in 1986, TRLabs is Canada’s largest information and communications technology research and development consortium, and is dedicated to fast tracking innovation to market by creating innovative technologies, training students, and working with its 70 industry, academic, and government partners to accelerate technology commercialization. With an annual budget of $13 M, TRLabs employs 250 staff, researchers and university/college students in labs in Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

TRLabs' goal is a simple one: work with industry to identify their research and development needs, and meet them. Supporting this goal are ongoing efforts to shape TRLabs' research program around compelling market opportunities for industry, expansion of a Development mandate, acceleration of product development cycles via contract research and development engagement with TRLabs, and enhancement of TRLabs' already leading commercialization rate. TRLabs undertakes approximately 100 industry-linked research and development projects annually within the core research program, and via a technical development industry service offering.

We are seeking a Saskatchewan Business Development Manager to drive our innovation agenda forward and build on our success as one of the most industry-invested research and development vehicles in Canada. Working closely with the Vice President - Industry Services, you will develop and implement industry partner R&D engagements for the Saskatchewan market. The success-building toolbox includes project proposal development, industry partner prospecting and retention, and identification of project and/or commercialization opportunities.
