About Mr. Mark Fedorak

Mark Fedorak is a founder and President and CEO of an electrical engineering consulting firm called Xanantec Technologies Inc. based out of Edmonton. Xanantec specializes in the development of low power wireless medical devices, and end to end data collection and control applications. As part of his work with Xanantec, Mark has developed 5 patents, has 2 published papers, and has successfully applied for and received over 500K in grant money from various granting agencies. Mark has a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alberta, and is a Professional Engineer with a permit to practice in Alberta.

In addition to his work with Xanantec, Mark is also heavily involved in providing technical and strategic support for the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital spinal deformities research program. He has also been a director of TRLabs for 3 years during which time he has also been Chairman of the Governance Committee. Mark is a director of THECIS - a not for profit globally recognized centre for innovation research, and is heavily involved in the Canadian Association of Medical Teams Abroad providing a combination of information technology strategy advice and governance support. Mark also donates time to the University of Alberta’s Department of Medicine every year to assist with the interviewing of medical school applicants.
