TRLabs Appoints VP Industry Solutions

November 13, 2009 -- Calgary - TRLabs is pleased to introduce Stephen Morrow, an executive with 20 plus years of information and communications technology (ICT) leadership experience, as VP Industry Solutions.

The appointment is effective immediately. The position will be located in Calgary.

"Stephen has a depth of strategic and operational ICT experience that will be instrumental in developing our portfolio of professional services offerings focused on generating technology solutions for industry and other client organizations," said Robert Tasker, TRLabs President & CEO. "TRLabs has recently expanded its Industry Services mandate to develop and deliver a portfolio of applied technology research and development professional services for our partners to help them develop, test, and introduce new technologies into the marketplace. Stephen’s leadership will help us grow this portion of the TRLabs business."

TRLabs’ Industry Services mandate is to deliver near-term applied research, development, and commercialization projects. Industry Services solutions currently include: prototype development; technology and system integration; pre-certification testing and validation; product management advisory; technology assessments; and a lab services co-location program.

TRLabs’ Industry Services offering is complemented by a Technology & Applied Research offering encompassing a core applied research program with a longer term horizon (1-3 years) that is focused on strategic vertical market industry sectors, and is pooled for the benefit of TRLabs partners.

Stephen also assumes the roles of VP Alberta and CFO.

Stephen has 20 plus years of information and communications technology expertise in a variety of industry and professional services roles. Most recently Stephen was with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he led a number of telecommunications and technology related strategy and operations consulting engagements for telecom service providers, technology vendors, and private equity investors. Prior to joining BCG, Steve also held executive leadership and senior technology positions with inCode Wireless, TELUS, Deloitte Consulting, and Nortel. Stephen has an M.B.A (Finance) from Queen’s University and a B.A. Honors (Economics) from the University of Calgary.
