Compression & Encryption Technologies Inc. joins TRLabs

March 13, 2000 -- Edmonton, AB - TRLabs is pleased to announce tha Technologies Inc. (CYH) has joined TRLabs as a Small Business Associate (SBA).

TRLabs will help CYH meet it's product development goals by providing access to people, facilities and technology.

CYH has a solid foundation of bandwidth optimization products that extend bandwidth of Wide Area Network (WAN) services up to four times without a major investment in communications infrastructure. Today, their appeal is greatest outside North America where data communications costs are expensive and the payback is greatest. With demand for bandwidth growing faster than infrastructure can grow, it is expected that the value of these products will increase in North America as well. In response, CYH is ramping up its product development program to develop products and feature sets for not only the international market but also for the North American market.

As an SBA member, CYH will gain access to TRLabs scientific expertise, technologies and well-equipped facilities for product evaluation and development. This technology interaction and networking opportunity can open the door to strategic partnerships, recruitment opportunities, product development support and support for strategic long term product planning.

Says CYH Vice President Randy Pointkoski, "As CYH moves forward on its product development program with a specific focus to Application Specific Transmission Optimization, support from organizations like TRLabs will be critical to the development of timely and effective data communication products for the global telecommunications marketplace."

Compression & Encryption Technologies trades on the Canadian Venture Exchange (CDNX) under the symbol CYH. Corporate and product information about CYH products is available at www.compression.okko.com.
