
TRLabs researcher wins top teaching honours
November 10, 2000 -- Saskatoon, SK - TRLabs Scientist Dr. Carey Williamson was recently awarded the University of Saskatchewan Master Teacher Award. This is a very prestigious award given by the University to honour excellence in teaching.
Dr. Williamson is regarded as one of the foremost experts in computer networking and Internet performance. He has been published widely and is often invited to speak at universities and industrial labs throughout the world. He currently teaches a popular fourth-year course on Computer Networks, which focuses on the architecture and performance of the Internet. Says Dr. Williamson, "My success with this course stems from my ability to incorporate real-world, practical examples into the course. These have been obtained through my own experiences and those of others conducting industry-university collaborative research at TRLabs."
